Bharat 6G Mission

In 2021, launched Bharat-6 G Mission with the objective of developing a vibrant Indian ecosystem for fifth and SIX GENERATION (5G & 6G) - where unique products using partly in-house hardware technologies VishwaVaani was initiated.

This mission encompasses the areas such as Research, Development, and Deployment with Ecosystem development within the country in order to support India's extensive 6G roll out by laying down "Generic Technology Direction" which ultimately presides over establishment of core technology for each segment including peripherals.

Key features of 6G:

1) Ultra-high data speeds: 6G will deliver much faster transmission of information than even today's most sophisticated network, facilitating true real time uses such as fully immersive virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality(AR). 6G vs 5g

2) Ultra-low latency: With the advent of 6G, data will be delivered from one end to another in very short period and the invention will facilitate real-time communication such as talking on phone or video call for use cases like self-driving cars or remote surgery.

3) Ultra-connectivity: Enables even more IoT-friendly, with advanced connective solutions to be stated (6G networks can carry out large numbers of connected devices such as for 1 million nodes/ aircraft or similar node)/

4) AI-based integration: AI will become an increasingly important part of 6G networks, assisting operators in handling the complexity and optimisation needs on these systems.

5) Higher Frequency Band : 6G will be available in new spectrum bands, which have a wider bandwidth to carry data at faster speeds.

v BHARAT 6G MISSION:

Bharat 6G Mission has been introduced in the country which is an initiative of the Government Of India to create a completely indigenous network technology for 6th generation.

This mission will work in the area of research, development and deployment to prepare India for adoption of 6G technology leading towards taking a leadership position through standardizations efforts.

Bharat 6G Mission main aim

Create India-centric 6G technology. Develop India-based 6G ecosystem, as well as infrastructure and research & manufacturing in general. Establish India as one of the main driving forces in global 6G initiatives;

v Achievements:

1) Establishment of 6G India Forum: This forum is organised to work collectively on the R&D initiatives along with industry giants, academic researchers and government representatives.

These 27 6G research labs are sponsored by the Government and situated across different colleges & examination focuses in India.

2) Native core 6G technology development: Indian researchers are on a pace to create main technologies needed by extremely quick wireless communication. These contain freehanded transmission of high-frequency,

AI magic in L3-L7 network dependency or novel resources and techniques utilized for creating SISO/MIMO antennas

3) Trials: 6G technologies have been successfully field trialled in India, showcasing the capabilities of this technology. (With inputs from

PTI)Global cooperation: India is cooperating on a 6G alliance research and development in the US, Japan; South Korea

v Challenges:

1) Costs and resources: 6G technology is an incredibly expensive proposition to develop. Under the flagship of Mission Indradhanush, India should make sure to infuse with adequate funding and resources.

2) Labor: The country has a robust labor but needs to build it from stokes even more for 6G Networks and AI.

3) Security and privacy: 6G technology is a new world in terms of security as well as individual private data. India has to come up with concrete measures of securing and maintaining the privacy if user data.

4) Commercialization: one of the challenges in commercializing research and development efforts. For india, they are already developing a commercialization ecosystem for 6G technology.

5) Competition - India neither is in the top position nor alone, many countries are already working on 6G technology. India has to move faster in order for it not to lose its edge.

6G Alliance:

The 6G Alliance is a global industry group made up of top tech companies, research institutions and government organizations. It aims to foster collaboration and accelerate the development of 6G.

The 6G Alliance Key activities:

Set the standards and specifications of 6G tech Create an environment for members to collaborate through R&D efforts Drive Every Nation to the 6G Era

Conclusion:

Indeed, the Bharat 6G Mission is an ambitious and challenging mission. Progress to date has been substantial but challenges remain several. If venture continues to flow this way and India fosters collaboration within the ecosystem, with innovation at its heart - truly a nation of billion ideas exists.
